Emilia Ornelas' accounting career began in 1991 when she was hired as a Staff Accountant for Raymond F. Book & Associates, and in 2007 she was made Partner in the company. Her extensive educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University, and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Delaware Technical and Community College.

In addition to her years of experience and education, she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member the Delaware Society of Accountants and the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA.)

Emilia specializes in working with small businesses, including start-ups. She has worked with a variety of different industries, such as contractors, restaurants, retail, daycare, and non-profits, just to name a few. She also has extensive experience in computerized accounting programs. She has been a QuickBooks Pro Advisor for over ten years, and earned a Certificate in Computerized Accounting from Delaware Technical and Community College.

A Texas native, Emilia relocated to Delaware in the summer of 1982. She is an active member in community organizations, such as Victim’s Voices Heard. While supporting many causes over the years, her main focus is collecting donations for the food bank and contributing to foster children programs.
